Loyola University Maryland’s School of Business and Management announced three new majors in accounting, management consulting and supply chain management.

“As a business school embedded within a liberal arts university, the School of Sales encourages students to approach their studies from a deliberate, cross-disciplinary perspective, ensuring deep knowledge and expertise. This allows us to offer a truly well-rounded undergraduate education to students majoring in both business and the liberal arts—now expanded with three new majors,” said Mary Ann School, MBA ’79, dean of the School of Commerce. In addition, you can benefit from the vendor’s renowned scholars and professionals in addition to the majors and minors already offered.”

Less accounting

Designed to enhance students’ understanding of the language of business, Accounting covers financial and managerial accounting and taxation with optional course options in intermediate and advanced accounting and auditing. Students who plan to run small businesses can take the entrepreneur track, while students who plan to become certified public accountants without an accounting major can take the CPA track.

Supply chain management mini

The Supply Chain Management minor prepares students to manage and coordinate the efficient and effective flow of products, services, and information within and between organizations. Students gain expertise in improving processes and global supply chain operations by applying technology, analytical and reflective thinking, and quantitative and qualitative tools. Students will apply diversity, equity, and inclusion perspectives to examine the impact of global trade in a variety of industries.

Management Consultant Minor

Management consultants use a variety of disciplinary skills to help organizations solve problems and improve their performance. The Management Consulting minor covers strategic management and management teams and includes management consulting experience. Students can take elective courses in creativity and entrepreneurship, global strategy, leadership, communication and negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Additionally, the School of Sales offers minors in business, business economics, data science, information systems and data analytics, innovation and entrepreneurship, international business and marketing.
