Mayor Eric Adams celebrates his birthday, Fashion Week

It was a busy week for Eric Adams, the city’s adoring mayor, who celebrated his 62nd birthday and New York Fashion Week.

A source tells Page Six exclusively that the city’s mayor was out celebrating his birthday by attending a number of parties.

We’re told the small affair, attended by about 30 guests, took place in a building that’s also home to Chelsea Clinton, though she was nowhere to be seen — with pals including NYC Commissioner of International Affairs Edward Mermelstein, CEO of Silverstein Properties Marty Burger, Real Deal founder Amir Korangy and Zero Bond whist Scott Sartiano.

Adams also took the stage at the Rise Up New York City concert in Staten Island on his actual birthday, September 1.

According to the Daily Beast, Adams was to have a birthday party at members-only club The Ned with guests including French Montana, David Blaine and Travis Scott. Sadly, Page Six reports that this is not true and that Adams has only been to the club once for a tour.

Richie Akiva of Ned’s and the owner of Adams’ favorite club Zero Bond, Sartiano, previously owned 1Oak together before falling out. While we hear the report is inaccurate, we love that it reads like a perfect piece of fan fiction for our kid mayor of the club: “They’re fighting over Eric Adams like he’s a Victoria’s Secret model,” one told fountain pub.

Adams’ communications director tells us: “The mayor just had a birthday party, with a small group of friends. The mayor is often out late after dinner riding the subway, visiting homeless shelters and walking around the city. He believes this is a 24-hour city and we need a 24-hour mayor.”

Adams hosted his crowd at Gracie Mansion with Vogue editor Anna Wintour — whom he called “an angel who wears Prada” — and other fashion bigwigs on Thursday.

“New York is as cool as it can be right now at Gracie Mansion with these wonderful crafty people,” Adams reportedly told a crowd that included designers Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Thom Browne, Diane von Furstenberg, Wes Gordon, Michael Kors, Aurora. James, Stacey Bendet and Cynthia Rowley.

Adams also credited the industry as “doing $600 million this week alone,” noting that “that’s double the amount we make than if we had the Super Bowl here.”

Also in the room rubbing elbows with the famous band mayor were models Emily Ratajkowski, Karlie Kloss, Shalom Harlow, CFDA head Steven Kolb and Andrew Bolton of the Met museum.

Adams walked the Met Gala carpet in May in a tuxedo that read “End Gun Violence” and sat front row last season at a Michael Kors show. He will then be the guest of honor at a “pasta ribbon cutting” for a new Serafina Express.

Adams does not shy away from placing the party within the political party. The New York Times reported that the mayor said, “People thought this town was a 9-to-5 town. It was just a flannel suit town. And suddenly it’s January 2022 and the mayor comes in and says he’s the mayor of nightlife.”

Page Six has reported on Adams’ countless nights at clubs like Zero Bond and Aman NY, and his attendance at high-profile events like French Montana’s album release, Jennifer Lopez’s Tribeca Festival bash, and hip-hop’s 49th birthday. hop-it with KRS One. He also recently hung out with Paris Hilton and friends at a private club in Los Angeles.

Another source tells Page Six exclusively that the latest NY Times report on the mayor’s nighttime habits, which said he went out 22 times in one month, was actually too low. We hear he was out almost every night, but reporters assigned to track down the mayor went home around 11 p.m., with the mayor sometimes hitting the town late.
