Paradigm Entertainment, the West Hollywood company that owns the talent agency, announced last week that it has acquired three talent agencies and is bringing them under the Paradigm Media Entertainment banner.
Terms of the deal between Paradigm’s Pacific Design Center on Melrose Avenue and Blue Equity, a Louisville, Kentucky-based private equity firm, were not disclosed. The transaction was announced on September 7.
The three talent agencies acquired by Paradigm are Napoli Management Group, Two Twelve Management and Marketing and 3Kings Entertainment. Napoli and 3Kings represent broadcast talent, and Two Twelve is one of the most prestigious culinary talent shows in the industry, hosting 75 celebrity chefs and culinary stars.
Paradigm Media Entertainment is majority owned by Paradigm Entertainment, which holds a majority interest in Paradigm Talent Agency. Paradigm Talent Agency and Paradigm Media Entertainment provide clients with a broad range of entertainment, publishing, product partnership and news media services, according to a release from the company.
Sam Gores, founder and CEO of Paradigm Entertainment and Paradigm Talent Agency, will remain a shareholder. Jonathan S. Blue and Edward H. Harrison III of Blue Equity will remain as advisors to Paradigm Media Entertainment, the Paradigm statement said. Paradigm Media Entertainment’s broadcasting, marketing and entertainment businesses are led by Napoli Management Group’s Mendes J. Napoli, a duo of Twelve Management and Marketing Scott Feldman and Matthew Kingsley of 3Kings Entertainment.
In March, the Paradigm talent agency laid off 250 employees, later hiring some. The company sold its North American live music representation business to Casey Wasserman, an LA-based sports marketing and talent management firm, for an undisclosed amount last year, the Los Angeles Times reported.
