blacksburg – Let’s take a look at the offensive line, which is being led by the offensive line coach for nearly the entire season for Virginia Tech football. Joe Rudolph.

Players to watch
Although the Hokies lost a lot of talent with three NFL departures. Luke Estate (Buffalo Bills), Lecitus Smith (Arizona Cardinals) and Brooke Hoffman (Cleveland Browns), plenty of talented pieces remain in front of Rudolph. DeZancy, Tech’s representative at the ACC Kickoff, started in 2021 at right tackle, left guard and left tackle. A senior at Maryland during the 2020 campaign, Jordan earned All-Big Ten honorable mention honors. Moore, who started all 13 games as a freshman last season, was named a Freshman All-American for his athleticism.

Others in the mix
In addition to bringing back Dzansi, Jordan and Moore, Tech welcomes the return of the secondary Parker ClementsIn the year He made seven starts at right tackle and saw action in 11 games in 2021. The South Carolina native was named All-ACC third team by Pro Football Focus and quietly came into his own in 2020 without ever seeing the field. Tech’s offensive line also boasts the likes of Lord Botetourt High School. Jesse Hansen. The 6-foot-5, 307-pounder saw action in 12 contests a year ago and should be a nice piece in Rudolph’s collection.

Throw in Rudolph’s stellar track record with the return of Dancy, Jordan, Moore, Clements and Hansen and the Hokies’ lineup looks to be in solid shape. Tech has a wealth of replacements ready to fill those roles, though there are some big shoes to fill in some important departures.
