WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The second annual ‘Pull a Plane’ fundraiser will be held at noon on Saturday, October 15th at the B-29 Doc Hangar.
This year, the opening ceremony starts at 1pm with an after party starting at 5.30pm.
The fundraiser benefits the WSU Tech Foundation and B-29 Doc. Last year’s event raised over $100,000.
“My hope is that more groups get involved and get a chance to be a part of this and also get a chance to ride in this historic part of Wichita, which is the B-29 Doc,” said Mandy Fows, director of marketing. For WSU Tech
A crew of 25 B-29s tow the dock by rope. The winners will have a chance to ride in the dock.
“It looks like it’s going to be a really big challenge, so I’m going to keep lifting weights and hopefully we can win ‘Pull a Plane,'” said WSU Tech Foundation Scholarship recipient Rebecca Rain.
