Meet Reflect, a new analytics tool designed specifically for HR teams. While many teams now rely on sophisticated data visualization and business planning tools, HR teams cannot easily measure various metrics and see how they are improving over time.
However, HR has become a key component for tech startups and creative businesses in general.
“We started Reflect because we thought HR people needed some help,” co-founder and CEO Leopold Adam told me. Work has become more complicated with the Covid-19 pandemic, diversity, equity and inclusion objectives, mental health issues and remote work policies.
“They don’t have a whole set of tools to handle the situation,” Adam said. According to him, the average HR team uses 2 to 10 different software-as-a-service products. Reflect connects to all these devices and centralizes the data.
After that, Reflect serves as a single repository for all HR metrics. Users can select data points and monitor the process. For example, companies use Reflect to track total headcount in each department, efficiency, number of quarterly salary increases, proportion of women in leadership positions, etc.
Reflect then lets you share the dashboard with team managers, executives, and anyone in general who needs an overview of HR data. And once a CEO uses the tool, you can be sure it will matter.
Of course, many companies create Excel spreadsheets and send them throughout the company. But that requires a lot of manual exporting and changing some parameters to see a different view is not that easy.
Some companies have data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. But the issue is that HR departments handle sensitive information like payroll and sick leaves. You don’t want to give the entire company access to your HR data.
In the future, Reflect thinks it can help you compare your own metrics to those of your industry. As more companies start using the product, it becomes easier to compare, for example, Courage.
Reflect has raised €2 million ($2 million) in a pre-seed round led by XAnge led by Evolum, Kima Ventures and several business angels, such as Roxanne Varza, Mathieu Birch and Thibaud Elzier. And the first companies to use the product include Pennylane, Welcome to the Forest, Batch, Partoo and SmallPDF.
