Regional Better Business Bureau announced the 2023 board members


The Better Business Bureau Southeast Texas has announced its new and returning board members and executive committee for 2023.

According to a news release on Wednesday, the board will nominate the following people.

The 2023 board chair is Leslie Harrison, executive vice president, employee benefits at Higginbotham. The chairman-elect is Robert Bertrand, owner of Cotton Cargo, and the vice chairman is Michelle Cobb, owner of Cobb Family Chiropractic. The secretary is Ann Scoggin, owner of Ann Scoggin Coldwell Banker Southern Homes, and the treasurer is Anthony Topps, general manager of Classic Acura. The past chairman is Tim Baker, president of Baker Auto Repair.

The 2023 Executive Committee will consist of the following directors.

Jennifer Birch, CEO of Texas Best Hospice Care; Kathryn James, Senior Manager of Customer Relations, Conn Homes; Ladedra Jones, Chief Technology Officer, Mobiloil Credit Union; Lee Potter, owner of American Air Systems; Paul Skinner, owner of Function4, and Belinda Trust, director of community relations for Kate’s Drilling and Construction.

The following directors have been elected to serve another three-year term on the Board.

Shawn Atkins, co-owner of Howell Furniture; Natasha Garrett, CEO of G&G Enterprises Construction Corporation; Leslie Harrison; Catherine James; Baptist Hospitals Foundation Executive Director Kim Moncla; Paul Skinner; Dave Stephens, Director of American Valve & Hydrant Manufacturing.

According to the release, three new board of directors have been elected. they are:

Amanda Ellis, Beaumont Business Banker for Hancock Whitney; Cindy Perez, CEO of Cat5 Resources; Pamela Sieben, president of Sieben Tools.

Ellis, who moved to Southeast Texas three years ago, is currently the chair of Beaumont’s After Hours Rotary Club, as well as co-coordinator of the Beaumont Class of 2023.

Ellis, a 2021 graduate of Leadership Beaumont, also serves on their alumni committee for the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. She is also the treasurer for Southeast Texas Artists and a member of the BNI “All-Stars” chapter.

In the year Perez, who founded Cat5 Resources in 2013, previously worked at A-1 Freeman. She and her Cat5 Resources team oversee the development and implementation of unique business solutions.

Perez was awarded the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation in partnership with the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. She is the president and founder of the nonprofit Loula Foundation, which provides resources and support to struggling families. Perez joins Vialan Technologies’ Board of Directors in 2022.

In the year In 1990, Sieben co-founded Herzog Rail Services, Inc. with her late husband, Brian Sieben. , she worked while raising two sons. She joined the staff at Sutherland Lumber Company, providing accounting services at Sieben Tools. In 2005, she joined Sieben Equipment full time.

In the year Founded in 1995, Cyben Tools has more than tripled in growth while expanding its specialization capabilities. Sieben works with both of her sons, Keith and Darren Sieben, and their partner, Jonathan Erickson.

Sieben Equipment has been a Better Business Bureau member since 2009.

Founded in 1663 by the Rotary Club of Beaumont, the BBB Southeast Texas Service Project looks forward to continuing to grow in the business community by adding new programs.

“We want to extend a warm welcome to our 2023 officers and board members,” BBB President/CEO Darren Erwin said in the release. “Each of these individuals is committed to helping build trust in the marketplace in support of BBB’s mission. Their oversight and guidance will certainly help BBB in significant growth in 2023.”
