One of the show’s strongest moments, “A Long, Long Time,” explores the evolution of same-sex relationships over a 20-year period. Fantasy author Erin Lindsey thinks it’s the epitome of the show. “I’d love to see more screenwriters and networks take the risk of moving from one slaughter to the next at break-neck speed,” she says.

Teresa DeLucci on what to expect:
I am a super fan. This game was I’ve been playing it since the beta in 2013. I went to PAX Prime to preview the game before it even came out, and I still have my t-shirt and poster. I’ve cosplayed as a turtle before with my husband, who plays Joel—he’s a lot taller than me, and has a nice beard. I wrote about it and replayed this game over and over again. So I had some pretty sky high hopes. … I went to an early showing at a theater here in New York City that was completely dressed up to look like QZ of New York with actors and zombies. You can tell that you are doing it Game of Thrones For this treatment. They knew what they had when they picked this up.
Erin Lindsay on World Building:
I think [show’s] The time limit is ridiculously inconceivable. Everyone eats this powder in the same 48-hour period, and everything starts to go bad. I think you see a sort of staggered timeline of the origins of this powder and how quickly it gets to supermarket shelves. … In Part 2, you see that these security institutions still exist. In whatever distorted, fascist guise, we understand life in the QZ. Some authority has been established, there is still water in some places, and for some reason an endless supply of ammunition. That doesn’t fit the schedule they set for me. If you’ve seen crises happen around the world, you know that even the most prepared military or federal emergency authority in the world won’t be immune.

You have to strategize how you’re going to go about taking out these monsters, and they usually do it quietly. A game where you strategize using advanced tools like bricks that you are picking up and creating. Pick up a brick from the corner of the building and put one of their heads inside. And there weren’t any examples of Pedro Pascal doing this on the show, which made him look sleazy. … No one was more brutal than the one who “smashed a man in the face with a brick several times” or “stabbed him with a shiv”. That doesn’t happen in the show, and I think, at least for me, it dropped the ball a little bit.
David Barr Kirtley on character:
When he first saw Ellie Mortal Kombat II machine, she is completely happy, and says, “Oh my God! is it. Mortal Kombat II! This is awesome. There’s this character and she’s going to swallow you whole and pull your bones out!” And we later find out that a few days ago her best friend and first love died tragically after playing it. Mortal Kombat II together for the first time. And it seemed odd to me that she didn’t react more negatively when she saw it. Mortal Kombat II Game, what associations do you think it had for her – and very fresh. In some of the early episodes I thought she was being nice in a way that didn’t quite sit well with me after we found out what happened to her two days ago.
