Virginia Tech’s freshmen opened their rookie campaign strong at the Seahawk Classic. Scouting Coppin State
Miajavon Coleman was named the MAAC Volleyball Player of the Week, and Andrea Tsvetanova earned the Coach of the Week award after the Eagles’ opening weekend. Coleman recorded 18 kills and 10 digs in Friday’s opener against North Carolina A&T, followed by 11 digs and a game-high six blocks against UNC Greensboro. Tsvetanova recorded 51 assists and 17 digs, along with three aces and two blocks in the win over the Aggies.
Scouting Master
Marst is 2-1 on the year with wins over Georgia State and the Atlanta Belmont. In the MAAC Preseason Coaches Poll, Marist was ranked fourth in the conference. Jordan Newblatt and McKinley Fox are two players to watch out for on the court. Last season, Newblatt led the team with 384 kills while Fox led the team with 1,096 assists.
Scouting Old Dominion
The Kings open the 2022-23 season at the Northern Arizona Invitational. Old Dominion lost all three straight games against Michigan, Utah Tech and Northern Arizona. Myah Conway returns for the second time after playing on the CUSA All-Freshman Team and was invited to participate in the Women’s National Team Open.

The Hokies will travel to Chicago, IL on September 9th and 10th for the DePaul Invitational. Tech will play Eastern Michigan and DePaul on Friday, followed by St. Louis on Saturday at 3 p.m.
