Singapore/New York – November 2, 2022 – Cooley advised Wellsback Technology Metals Acquisition Corporation (WMA), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, on its proposed merger agreement with Wavetech Group, a company developing next-generation battery-enhancing technologies. Attorneys Tim Petrelli, David Silverman, Steven Holm and Hannah Lo led the Cooley team in advising WTMA.
As a result of the transaction, the combined company will be called WaveTech Group and is expected to remain listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol WTG.
This combination gives WMA the opportunity to invest in a disruptive and commercially proven innovator in the sector in the target industry sectors of technological metals and energy transition materials.
