The legacy of beloved R&B singer Aaliyah lives on through Shoe Palace’s newly launched apparel collection.
In the 20-piece capsule, the R&B Princess’ trademark and iconic imagery can be seen on shorts, T-shirts, pants and jackets. The Shoe Palace design team also made sure to incorporate Aaliyah’s ’90s fashion sense into the collection – including her signature tomboy style with big tops and bottoms. Items from the collection range in price, ranging from $30 to $50.

In a press release obtained by RollingStone, the Shoe Palace x Aaliyah capsule is exclusive to the store and will not be available anywhere else. Along with Aaliyah’s heritage and her “love of menswear,” the clothing company’s designers stated that they were inspired by “legendary nineties fashion designers.“
“When considering Aaliyah’s track record, it’s only fitting that her name means ‘Highest, Most Exalted, Best,'” said the design team. “Her unparalleled style made her an obvious choice for a collaboration with Shoe Palace.”
The late singer, who sadly died in a plane crash in 2001, will also be commemorated through new music collections. of The last Aliyah box set will be re-launched in September with the singer’s greatest hits and soundtrack recordings spread over three discs. The box set is also available for pre-order. Aaliyah’s critically acclaimed self-titled album will also be available on vinyl this December.
