Aberg, Scott to compete in 2022 WATC in France

Paris – Texas Tech High Ludwig Aberg And second Callum Scott They are set to compete in the 2022 World Amateur Team Championship (WATC) from Wednesday.

Scott plays for his native Scotland while Aberg represents Sweden at both Le Golf National (Albatross Course) and Golf de Saint-Nome-la-Bretche (Red Course) hosted by the French Golf Federation.

Running from Wednesday (August 31) to Saturday (September 3), 72 different countries will battle it out for the prestigious Eisenhower Trophy. The event features four rounds of stroke play with the best two combined scores from each roster counting toward the final team score.

Each country competes in a pair of rounds at Le Golf National and a pair of rounds at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Breteche. The host course for the 2018 Ryder Cup and a future venue for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Le Golf National is a 6,991 yard par-71 course. Another host course, Golf de Saint-Nome-la-Bretac is 6,821 yards long and is a par-72.

Scott tees off at 9:06 am (CEST)/2:06 am (CT) from the 10th hole of Golf de Saint-Nome-la-Bretche on Wednesday, while Aberg is set for 12:52 (CEST). /5:52 a.m. (CT) He tees off on the first hole at Golf de Saint-Nome-la-Bretche.
