After 40 years in business, Arnold County Kitchen has closed.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) – At Arnold’s Country Kitchen, every customer has a favorite order.

“So my favorite go-to is definitely roast beef, mashed potatoes, two greens — you can’t just get one green, you have to get both greens,” said customer Lisa Go.

But regardless of your order, customers will come back for the same reason.

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been here,” Goe said. “They are like family to me.”

That home-cooked flavor has been a staple in Nashville since 1982.

But as the restaurant prepares to close its doors, customers lined up Saturday to savor the last bite from the popular Meat and Three restaurant.

Owner Kahlil Arnold says it’s time to get out of the business. “The time will come for you to return to the family.”

Arnold said the property is in the process of being sold.

“This restaurant is a community-owned restaurant because it’s our customers that have kept us eating all these years and kept us in business all these years,” Arnold said.

But those loyal customers will be happy to hear, Arnold’s won’t be gone forever. “We’re working on other things, not forever,” Arnold said. “If not one, I’ll have another place – two places.”

Until then, customers should savor the food memories at the Nashville icon.
