Bollywood’s ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was released on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Aamir has returned to the big screen after almost 4 years with this film. In such a situation, the makers also had high hopes from this film. However, Aamir’s film has not been able to do anything special at the box office.
Meanwhile, due to poor performance in theatres, now preparations are on to release ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ on the digital platform. On the one hand, trade analyst Taran Adarsh says that ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ will release on OTT within three months. So at the same time, the makers say that this film will come on OTT only after six months. However, neither side has issued an official statement.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said – ‘No one could have imagined that the film would be in such a bad shape but we think now the film will be released on OTT and a gap of three months will be kept for this because the collection of the film from theaters has been very less, so the makers will monetize the cost and profit of the film from OTT. For this, they will also have to accept the condition of OTT platforms.
Taran Adarsh further said that the gap of six months will be too much. Till now no film has been released or premiered on such a wide gap even on satellite channels. If this happens, then after six months the audience will have to be reminded again that there is a film called ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Taran Adarsh told that, ‘It is definitely that its rights on OTT have been sold for 100 crores to 120 crores. Because Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya have brand value.
