Bosnian sisters celebrate 20 years of business success since immigrating to America.

Bowling Green, K. – On Friday, two Bosnian sisters will celebrate the grand opening of their salon, 20 years to the day since their family immigrated to America.

This summer’s News 40 brings you the heartwarming story of the Nuhanovic sisters: The sisters share how they wanted to use their entrepreneurial spirit to grow Bowling Green’s thriving Bosnian leading business.

Now, the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Lejla and Seudina Nuhanovic to celebrate the grand opening of Nu Lux Salon with the help of the community.

October 1 marks exactly 20 years since the Nuhanovich family left everything they knew to move to Bowling Green.

“Especially since the day we moved to Bowling Green, we’ve felt so much support from such a small community,” Lejla said. “It’s an absolute blessing. We’ve had a great turnout, and we feel very lucky to be here. We know it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our family and friends and everyone who walks through our doors.

The sisters say they plan to plant their seeds here in Bowling Green — to grow their business and carve out opportunities for their children like their parents did for them.
