The Lindenwood Lions from St. Charles, Missouri, will play their first men’s basketball season at the Division I level in the 2022-23 campaign, and two Utah teams are on their schedule.

The Lions released their season schedule on Thursday, and will face the BYU Cougars and Utah Tech Trailblazers in back-to-back games in Utah before Christmas.

Lindenwood will first face BYU on Dec. 20 in Provo and then Utah Tech on Dec. 22 in St. George.

The Lions will have ties to Utah Tech as the Trailblazers are currently in the process of becoming a full Division I member.

Lindenwood has been competing at the Division II level in men’s basketball in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and now competes in the Division I Ohio Valley Conference.

In addition to BYU and Utah Tech, the Lions’ non-conference schedule has opponents like Dayton, Missouri and Illinois on it.
