With the whole Twitter vs Elon Musk saga over, netizens have a new topic of conversation. In the year Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, who is leaving the company in 2021, is busy working on a new social media service. Dorsey’s new app, Bluesky Social, has caught the attention of netizens, and the looming question is whether Bluesky will compete with Twitter. Dorsey argues that the new decentralized social networking protocol is not being built to compete with Twitter. Only time will tell if Bluesky or the Blue Bird will eventually rule the social media landscape. Read along to learn more.
A new venture
Jack Dorsey has already hinted that Bluesky won’t be competing on Twitter, albeit secretly. The app will be “competitive with the basic fundamentals of social media or any company trying to own the data of the people who use it,” he said. Dorsey seems to have it all figured out and ready to embark on this new journey. The company has already shared its vision for the platform so that its users know exactly what to expect and expect.
On October 18, the company tweeted, “The World Wide Web wouldn’t be much fun without a browser, and the same goes for the AT protocol.” So we are building a social application called Bluesky. In the already crowded social media landscape, Bluesky needs to bring something absolutely brilliant to the table to make an impact. Dorsey seems to have it covered.
Bluesky and Algorithm
The impact of social media on people needs no further explanation. Knowingly or unknowingly, algorithms rule our social media existence. Bluesky intends to put these algorithms in a way that gives the user complete control over the algorithms and otherwise.
Bluesky’s team hinted at this in a separate tweet, “Algorithms dictate what we see and who we reach.” If we are to trust our online sites, we must control our algorithms.
While Dorsey is busy with his new job, Twitter is also undergoing big changes with Elon Musk taking the wheel. The result is that netizens are very happy, and their happiness spills over into the long responses and responses. Let’s take a look at the two.

It’s impossible to imagine Elon being played by Jack Dorsey, who pocketed $1 billion for an already top-rated birding app… before announcing his new social app, Bluesky Social.

Hahaha! Jack Dorsey waited until Elon took over Twitter to announce its new Bluesky social app.
Well played, Jack! ‘Where are all the other software developers? Is Jack Dorsey the only one we have now to take over this right-wing control of our media? Geez

Jack Dorsey is one funny guy. What’s it worth he got Musk to buy a platform he doesn’t personally believe in for 4X. And then he announces a new platform free of corporations. A public utility rather than a corporation. Very funny funny.

Break! Jack Dorsey is launching a new social network called Bluesky Social. If Elon Musk destroys Twitter, many will become Qwitters and join the new network. Captain Obvious joins them.
