‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ crosses £850k – Bollywood News UK


Paramount Pictures UK’s Bollywood title Laal Singh Chaddha is still under-performing at the UK Box Office but going steady in its fourth weekend. 

The Aamir Khan starrer has become the highest grossing Original Hindi film at the UK Box Office in 2022 so far beating Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Hindi and Tamil versions of the film have collected £20,052 over the weekend 02.09-04.09, from 42 locations with a site average of just £477. The film screening in 42 locations in its fourth weekend is high for a Bollywood title. The total gross of the film so far stands at £851,051.

Dharma Productions’ Liger performed poorly in its second weekend at the UK Box Office. Released by DG Tech Ltd, the film dropped to just 7 locations, collecting £1,871, with a site average of £267. The total gross of the film has slightly increased to £106,966.

T-Series’ Ek Villain Returns is continuously going strong in its sixth weekend. The film collected an impressive £3,906 from just 3 locations, with a high site average of £ 1,302. ´The total gross of the film stands at £425,005.

Raksha Bandhan released by Zee Studios is performing poorly in its fourth weekend. The film is still showing in a high number of locations and collected only £1,794 from 21 sites, with an average of £85 per location. The total gross of the film stands at £143,217.

This week Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures UK will release Dharma Productions’ Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva in multiple languages nationwide.
