[ad_1]

The Mavs Business Assist program was launched at the start of the 2022-23 basketball season to support 100 diverse entrepreneurs and small business owners who call North Texas home.

The Dallas Mavericks have partnered with The Lonely Entrepreneur to empower those in the program to get the knowledge, tools and support they need to succeed as part of the Mavs Business Assist (MBA) program.

Here at Mavs, we believe in the power of storytelling, and it’s our honor to feature various MBA members throughout the year to highlight their unique achievements.

Every entrepreneur has a story to tell. This is especially true for minority and women-owned businesses, who must overcome many obstacles to see their business succeed. The Dallas Mavs are excited to highlight the voices of diverse minority entrepreneurs in the inaugural episode of the Mavs Business Assist program. This week we introduce you to Sameer Ranjan.

Sameer Ranjan
CTO of Catenate Corp.

About CATENATE
Sameer Ranjan. Many people in his small town collection refused to follow his example. Most of the children grew up to work in the local steel factory, Ranjan had high goals and dared to dream big.

At school, he grew up and fell in love with math and science. That love was his ticket to see the world, and later he cracked one of the toughest challenges in India. This enabled Ranjan to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Technology at the Indian Institute of National Importance (NIT Raipur). From there he landed in Dallas, where his creativity and entrepreneurial skills came into play. He has also been a respected speaker and guest lecturer and one of the founding members of the Catenate Corps.

Katenet’s fundamental belief centers around this quote: “Human behavior can be manipulated or motivated.” What you choose as a leader is your choice. Catenate’s team has been working in data science, human-centered design, education, psychology, and more.

It uses AI technology to hire managers, “eliminating any bias based on human color, creed, creed or race…”. Area.

Ranjan is more than an entrepreneur. He is an inventor, scholar, data scientist, speaker, thought leader and guest lecturer and serves on various boards. Above all, he wants to make the world a better place.

Decided to join Mavs Business Assist to increase his product information to a wider net audience and get funding opportunity by presenting my business proposal to investors.

Mavs.com visited Sameer to learn more about his background and story. The interview sections were adjusted for clarity and brevity.

Mavs.com: Before we talk about your business or idea, can you share more about your life and story with our fans? Where did you grow up, go to school and how did you get to this point?

Ranjan I grew up in a small town in India. Ever since I was a child, I was told that you have to study hard to get a regular job in the steel mill, which was the biggest employer in my town.

Since childhood, I had no desire to follow the norm, but somehow I managed to love maths and science, which helped me crack one of the toughest exams in India. So I got selected to pursue my Bachelors in Technology at an Indian Institute of National Importance (NIT Raipur). I finished university and completed my engineering degree with second class honors in the whole university.

After working in India for two years and setting up organizations and helping small businesses, I decided to move to the USA to pursue my Masters in Data Science. I graduated with a Masters from the University of Texas at Dallas and hope to continue my entrepreneurial journey by presenting proposals to reopen businesses affected by Covid-19. Right after school I met like-minded people and started creating products that help human development and here I am, working with my team to create a symbiotic world.

Mavs.com: Where does your passion for your business come from?

RanjanI was actually the first employee and one of the founding members of the Business Catenate Corporation. The idea was to help students figure out who they really are and what career paths should fit them, because we were surprised by the amount of money. People spend money doing things they don’t like and later regret all the money lost.

Meanwhile, we understand that the problem is the same with employees and employers, both are confused about what is right for them and that is why there is currently the highest level of competence in the world. We envisioned creating a product that would help candidates find the right jobs and help employers find the right candidates, not just based on resumes, but also based on employees’ soft skills and personality. We succeeded.

I am only here for my education so I am passionate about helping people find the right education and resources. I believe that luck only comes when you have the mindset to back it up. I want to make this world educated and people more than their workbooks.

What do Mavs.com wish more people knew about being an entrepreneur or business owner?

Ranjan: It sounds good to be an entrepreneur but there is a huge price one has to pay which is boundless belief in yourself, pride in your team and constant workload, which is the freedom and happiness you get. Your work cannot be compared to anything else on this planet. I believe there are general challenges but personally I don’t think anyone would have stopped me from asking for help. So, I guess the biggest challenge is asking for help.

Mavs.com: What is your vision for your business? How do you hope to influence others or change the world?

RanjanMy vision for my business is to scale it and make it accessible to everyone. My system of finding the right people for the right seat will change the world’s view of how talent recruitment and management works, it has the potential to eliminate any bias based on people’s color, race, creed or race and they are being judged. More for their talent and personality than anything else. By doing something to include it and not just adding it as an agenda item in the business manual, it positively impacts business operations.

Mavs.com: Why did you decide to join Mavs Business Assist?

Ranjan I am looking for a great funding opportunity and an opportunity to showcase the businesses we have grown. I joined Mavs Business Assist with the intention of increasing my product information to a wider net audience and getting funding opportunities by presenting my business proposal in front of investors.

Mavs.com: How can people support you? Cheer up! What are your interests?

RanjanI want businesses to at least try my system to manage their talent and hiring needs and help me create a world free of bias, or at least give my review yourself and try to get to know yourself better.

My system costs less than a cup of coffee per employee and can bring about radical changes in your organization. I want an opportunity to showcase my business to investors looking for the next big idea that will change the world. I need newspaper and media attention to help my product go global and get my message across to the masses as a mass adoption product.
