Media Note: Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield to Travel to San Francisco

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, will travel to San Francisco September 7-9. On September 8, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will preview U.S. priorities for the 77th UN General Assembly and discuss America’s role at the United Nations at the Fairmont Hotel, the site where the UN Charter was drafted in 1945. This event is co-hosted by the UN Foundation and will be livestreamed at 10:00 a.m. PDT.

Later in the day on September 8, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will be joined by Congresswoman Barbara Lee for a moderated discussion at Manny’s Community Space focused on the intersection of tech and climate change titled “Advancing Democracy, Diplomacy, and Climate Action at Home and Abroad.”  This event will be livestreamed at 4:00 p.m. PDT.

On September 9, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield will give remarks on global food security and Black foodways at the Black Food Summit hosted by the Museum of the African Diaspora. This event will be livestreamed at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
