It so happened that when veteran actress Rekha had announced Kareena’s name for the best actress, she stood up and hugged Shahid and her sister Karisma Kapoor. Before walking up to the stage, the actress gave a kiss on Shahid’s cheeks to express her happiness and excitement. Interestingly, Kareena’s now-husband Saif Ali Khan was seen watching this happening as he was standing on the stage to hand over the trophy to Kareena.
The power couple of B’town, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan tied the knot in 2012 after dating for four years. The couple has worked together in films such as Omkara (2006), LOC Kargil (2003), and Tashan (2008). It was on the sets of Tashan that they fell in love with each other. Saif made the relationship public the same year when he got Kareena’s name in Hindi tattooed on his forearm.
However, the award ceremony took place in 2007 and the reports of Kareena and Saif’s romance started to make headlines in 2008. Saif and Kareena are also blessed with two sons – Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
