Winn.AI for sales calls with an AI assistant • TechCrunch starts out of hiding


Traditionally, salespeople are responsible for performing tasks such as following the playbook, formulating responses, building rapport, and updating customer relationship management (CRM) on sales calls. When these are repetitive and time-consuming, tedium can set in quickly. The average salesperson spends more than five hours a week updating CRM records, according to a Dooly survey.

Looking for a solution, sales technology entrepreneur Eldad Postan-Koren and cybersecurity expert Bar Haleva created a Win.I.I.-powered assistant designed to help sales teams automatically track, capture and update CRM entries. won.AI tracks sales calls and records key data, theoretically reducing the need for salespeople to take over themselves.

Winn.AI has today raised $17 million in seed funding led by Insight Partners and S-Capital. Posten-Koren said the proceeds will support Winn.AI’s sales and marketing efforts and support R&D.

Prior to Win.I.I., Poston-Corn was Director of Business Development at OurCrowd, a venture investment platform. Haleva was a senior cybersecurity expert at XM Cyber, which was acquired by the Schwarz Group for $700 million last November.

Like Google Page, Win.I.I joins virtual sales meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. After setting up a playbook or facilitating one of several pre-made ones, Win.I.I tracks the conversation, letting salespeople know which talking points have been addressed and which haven’t been raised yet.

The platform receives inquiries about customer references and competitive landscape, providing relevant information from the web. And at the conclusion of the meeting, Winn.AI exports any responses from the audience to the corresponding Salesforce or Hubspot login.

Posten-Koren doesn’t know competitors like Gong, Clary and Walnut. But Winn.AI argues that it is one of the few providers that provide real-time feedback.

“One of our core competencies is training our AI in real-life sales meetings. This helps us to be much more accurate compared to standard training resources,” Postan-Koren said. “What’s more, the more the customer uses the product in their own sales meetings, the more our AI capabilities will evolve to match their exact needs.”

Winn.AI is in beta and, therefore, has no paying customers. Posten-Koren wouldn’t disclose the company’s expected revenue, but Win.AI said it expects to double its headcount from 25 employees to 50 by 2023 — indicating rosy projections.
