For instance, Sushmita Sen revealed she’s looking at movie scripts and has plans to return to the silver screen. 1. SRK’s son Aryan Khan may have taken his first step towards the film industry, not as an actor but as a filmmaker. The star kid took to Instagram to share some news and wrote: “It was great assisting on the 90-second film by Alex and Brannen. Some likes on YouTube would help win a competition and would be greatly appreciated”.

2. Meanwhile, actor Sidharth Malhotra got into trouble for some seemingly derogatory remarks he made on the Bhojpuri language when he made a guest appearance on Bigg Boss 11. His comments earned him a lot of flak from the people of UP and Bihar. Even celebrities like Manoj Tiwari and Neetu Chandra have called him out for doing the same. Following in the footsteps of actresses like Sridevi and Tabu, former beauty queen Sushmita Sen too is all set to make a comeback in Bollywood. “I have been looking at scripts again for the past one and a half years. I think I am ready to commit six months of my life to a film. But, just because I am ready, doesn’t mean the perfect script is ready for me,” the actress told a leading website.

4. Bhoot director Ram Gopal Varma was booked under sections of Indian Penal Code for allegedly making personal comments against a social activist and other women. It is also said that he was charged with insulting the modesty of a woman. It all happened a day before the online release of his film God, Sex and Truth.

5. Actress Swara Bhasker wrote an open letter and called out Padmaavat’s filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for glorifying jauhar and sati. “Women have the right to live despite being raped, sir. Women have the right to live, despite the death of their husbands, male ‘protectors’, ‘owners’, ‘controllers of their sexuality’.. whatever you understand the men to be,” wrote the actress. While a few took to social media to support her, there were many who trolled her for doing so. Some asked her to focus on current pressing issues, while some others revisited her previous films and brought up objectionable points in them.

6. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Padmaavat, thanks to the long weekend collection, will soon enter the 100-crore club. The film has earned approximately 83 crores in the past few days.
