Transportation: Medallion TransLinks founder says technology helps drivers and vehicles stay connected to the transportation network.

Medallion Translinks provides transportation services to global consumer packaged goods (CPG) and automotive companies. He started as an in-house fleet of trucks and motorcycles for his own CPG business, which were completed for small retailers in the interior of India.

Medallion Translinks founder Pranjal Tulsian and his younger brother have set a goal to deliver packages in the shortest possible time through the most difficult routes. Medallion follows industry best practices. It was recently awarded the Times Business Award for Emerging Startups in Tech Logistics.

Interview with Tulsian:

How to be the most efficient in the transportation business?
It may seem difficult if you try to work on a personal level, but I have an efficient team that provides efficient service.

The team is constantly in touch with the drivers and has a road map of the vehicle. This is how we are constantly updated about upcoming checkpoints or any obstacles. How do you think Medallion has changed or affected the transportation industry?
The basic habit of communicating with the vehicle and the driver is what we swear by. We know exactly where the driver and vehicle are. Many times the connection may be interrupted due to weather conditions or remote locations. That’s when our tech team tracks the vehicles with GPS. Also, we have established contacts in almost all areas in India. If there is any problem, our representatives can go and see it.

Where do you see the medal in the coming years?
We definitely see Medallion as a leading transportation company. We are still monitoring and investigating all possible issues and working to eliminate them. As the world progresses, so do the problems and our team’s ability to solve them.
